Alt-West/ Alt-Thiar

O.J.A.I.’s Alt-West / Alt-Thiar brings together two years of research into Limerick and Ireland’s Mid-West, moving through infrastructures of transport and energy, built heritage, political histories and social geography. Across postal works, mapping, film and sound, factual material will continue to rub against speculation, personal fixation and more improbable forms of regional intelligence.

19 September – 14 November 2026

It is official policy to appear unmoved

07 December 2026

O.J.A.I. will present It is official policy to appear unmoved, a performance lecture moving through bureaucracy, shared authorship, architectural fascination and self-instituted forms of authority. Following an imagined “Red Line,” the work will bring together protocols, sound, braided monologue and public information while allowing administrative procedure to drift between structure, fiction and operative fact.

Monday 7 December 2026, 18:30
SANAA Building, Folkwang University of the Arts
Gelsenkirchener Str. 209, 45309 Essen, Germany
